• We know  that for write every program we nee an editor,so Mainframe also have an editor called [ ISPF/PDF]
• In Mainframe  there are 3 types of online application present 

                               1.ISPF / PDF
                               2.CICS
                               3.IMS

• Every Application have an application identifer [ appid]
• for identify ISPF/PDF the appid is L TSO

• After  this u have to enter ur user-id n password then, u got this page which is home page or ISPF editor
